Andrés Rothschild Pérez
After establishing himself as a director in the advertising industry in Mexico City for a decade, Andrés moved to England with his wife and three dogs to study an MA in Filmmaking at the London Film School and a course at the prestigious National Film and Television School, where he further enhanced his artistic practice as a filmmaker.
Living in London allowed Andrés to submerge in a multicultural environment which broadened his perspective and skill set, which allowed him to experiment with various genres and disciplines in storytelling, to move and resonate with different audiences.
Focusing mostly in the horror genre, Andrés’ short films have been selected and awarded through numerous festivals around the world, such as Film Quest, IndieX Film Fest in L.A., Ennis International Fantastic FilmFest and Nightmare Film Festival among others.
Now back in Mexico City, Andrés just co-wrote and directed an episode for the reboot of Mexican cult show “La Hora Marcada”. The series will premiere in October 2023 at Vix+, the biggest streaming service for Spanish speaking viewers.
